UPDATES TO PLAYBOOK v. 2.1 AS OF MAY 11, 2009

We are excited to announce that v2.1 is now available for use. The following is a list of the new feature/functionality that is being loaded on all customer field versions of the PlayBook (also known as dashboard).

Financial

  • * The new Financial Screen incorporates the Cash Screen from version 2.0, but now includes much more information. It provides a view of the primary accounts that make up the financial statements, i.e. balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. It also provides you Financial Ratios that will give you quick indicators of your firm’s performance and financial situation. We have included the Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, and Net Working Capital%. In addition, the Days In Inventory, AP to Inventory Ratio, and AR Turnover Ratio are shown. Gauge Graphs allow you to visually see how each of the P&L accounts and figures compare to the previous year.

Sales

  • * Three Gauge Graphs are now available on the Sales Screen. They allow you to visually see the sales difference between this year and the prior year and also last year and two year’s back for Regular Order, Regular Invoices totals, and Lost Sales totals. The graph has an arrow indicator for Sales, Profit Dollars, and Profit %.
  • * The Sales Screen has two additional significant enhancements. The Open Orders field has been split up by Transaction type into four open buckets: Open Orders, Future/Blanket Open Orders, Direct Open Orders, and Return Open Orders. In addition, a Warehouse Graph has been added. This allows the user to compare the Sales data between the warehouses, for the last 3 years.

Sales Productivity Screen

  • * The Sales Productivity Screen adds tremendous actionable value to the Playbook. It breaks down the Sales data by three groups: customers that have done more business this year than last year, customers that have done less business than last year, and new customers in this year. Since the data can be presented by Sales Rep, Sales Manager, Product Category, Territory, and Customer Type, the data gives invaluable data of where the most business is being lost or generated. The data can be viewed for a percentage, allowing you to see where the most significant changes in sales can be found as compared to last year. Because you can break down by these criteria, you can target a specific group of customers and immediately take sales action.
  • * On the Sales Productivity Screen, flexibility has been added to the criteria. The user can decide whether they would like to have the data sorted by Sales Rep Out, Sales Rep In, or OE Taken By. This is determined based on the user selection on the download report. The data and the Playbook screens will reflect the user’s selection.
  • * The detail screens for Sales Productivity and Sales Comparison now list the total number of detail lines. This is helpful in evaluating whether to export the detail to Excel.
  • * User settings have been added to limit access to Sales Productivity data. A sales rep or sales manager must be given permission to view their data, their team’s data, or all data, by Territory or Product Category.
